Dont Blink NYC LLC ("Dont Blink NYC," "we," "us," or "our") operates a mirrored photobooth installation for events and brand activations in New York City. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it when you visit our website, book our services, or use our photobooth.

Our Commitments

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your photos for marketing without your written consent.
  • We collect only the information necessary to deliver our services and meet our legal obligations.
  • We honor deletion requests within 30 days.

Information We Collect

Booking Information

When you request a quote or book our services, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and event details (date, venue, headcount, preferences). Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.

Photobooth Usage

When guests use the photobooth, we capture photos and short video clips. Guests may voluntarily provide an email address or phone number at the kiosk to receive their photos. A separate, optional opt-in is available to receive future updates from us.

Website Information

When you visit www.dontblinknyc.co, we collect basic analytics data, including pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, and referring URL. We use cookies for site functionality and analytics, which you can disable in your browser.

Correspondence

If you contact us by email, we retain your message and contact information to respond and reference future communications.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and deliver our photobooth services.
  • Process bookings, payments, and invoices.
  • Send photos to guests who provide a kiosk email or phone number.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers assisting in our operations (payment processing, cloud storage, customer relationship management, accounting), under contracts that restrict them to providing services to us.
  • Event hosts or planners, where relevant - for example, sharing a gallery link with the booking client.
  • Government or legal authorities, when required by subpoena, court order, or applicable law.
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, with prior notice to you and the requirement that the successor honor this Privacy Policy.

Photos and Likeness

We comply with New York Civil Rights Law §§ 50-51, which requires written consent before using a person's name or image for commercial purposes. We do not use guest photos in our marketing materials without a signed Photo Release. If you appear in a photo on our website or social media that you did not authorize, contact us and we will remove it within 48 hours.

Minors

Our website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) or under 18 (in compliance with the New York Child Data Protection Act, effective June 2025) without proper consent. Photos of minors are used in our marketing only with a signed parental or guardian release. A parent or guardian may request deletion of a minor's photo at any time by contacting us.

  • Information is deleted from active storage when no longer needed and purged from backups in routine cycles.

Data Breach Notification

If we discover a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 30 days, consistent with New York General Business Law § 899-aa (as amended December 2024). The notice will describe the incident, the information affected, and the steps we are taking. Where required, we will also notify the New York Attorney General, the Department of State, the State Police, and the Department of Financial Services.
